The welcome was so warm and genuine. The bedroom was cosy, the bed lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Evening meal - perfect - felt like private dining! Sat in front of a cosy wood burner in the cosy lounge with a glass in hand to finish off the day. A perfect stay, reluctant to leave and hopefully will return in the spring.We commend you James!

We travelled up to Lochearnhead for a Family wedding and decided to stay for a few nights.James & Emily made our stay absolutely perfect. Our room was very comfortable, the breakfast every morning was wonderful and the dinner James cooked for us on the day we arrived was so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble.They even let us leave our cases and belongings there on the night of the wedding as we had also booked Mansewood for the following night. It was so nice not to have to pack everything up only to arrive again the next morning & have a different room. If we are up in that area again we will definitely revisit Mansewood Country House and will recommend it all our family & friends without hesitation. (the only thing we could find to fault, was that the shower was a bit feeble, especially when washing hair but this was a minor detail) Thank you James and Emily for a wonderful experience.

A warm welcome awaited us from James and Emily. The house is charming and our room was comfortable and very clean. The evening meal was well cooked and presented and the breakfast good . We had a lovely stay on our way back towards Edinburgh. James was an amazing host for our car-weary kids and even shared some of his little girls’ toys with our children so they could feel at home. He was super accommodating for meals and created a cozy atmosphere for us to rest after a long day of driving.Highly recommend!

After a strenuous day at Edinchip Estate we had a lovely evening at Mansewood. As requested in our pre-stay communication we chose to have our evening meal there and were able to enjoy a drink in their bar while we waited for it. The meal was good, featured local produce and was cooked by James. Our bedroom was roomy and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and set us up nicely for another strenuous day. We'll be back!

We loved Mansewood Country House. Firstly, the personal touch. We were met with a friendly smile and a cup of tea, and stayed in for a home-cooked dinner, which was really delicious. It was a relief to have a tasty and healthy home-cooked meal after days of pub/restaurant food; James even gave us the recipe! The house is lovely, beautifully furnished and quiet though being conveniently close to a main road. There's a really cosy little separate bar. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed.

Arriving at the house we where a bit “distracted” by the traffic on the road in front of the house…, but once James let us in the house we instantly felt the comfort of the house, but most of all the friendly smile an words of our hosts made us feel at home. Nothing beats home, but here Emily and James have succeeded in creating something better than home…, the atmosphere, the dinner, the breakfast they all score triple A’s! The rooms are clean and have enough room for the two af us and a large suitcase.The surroundings offer fantastic views on the Loch and from the house we hiked a part of the Three Saints Trail which was fantastic!We would recommend this BnB to everyone.

John & Scott provide a warm welcome to their lovely guest house offering comfortable accommodation which is great value for money. The Mansewood is in a very good location for the Trossachs & easy to find. The only criticism is that our room was short of a couple of chairs, for clothing in the bedroom, bathroom & for putting on socks & shoes.

Hosts go the extra mile to ensure a perfect stay. Room is not overly big but comfortable with good quality beds and the lounge with fireplace and bar are very enjoyable. Breakfast is not standard but has some nice options and is well prepared

Highly recommended. Mansewood is in a great location whether you are a walker, cyclist or tourer. It's at the top of a beautiful loch, surrounded by hills and a great place for either a stop-over on your way north or west, or as a base for days out. Scott and John are lovely hosts, welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating, and the rooms are comfortable with excellent beds. The breakfasts are very good and served in a very light and airy breakfast room with the occasional red squirrel performing outside. There's a welcoming lounge with a fire and a little bar for a evening drink. Everything is spotless and the house has been tastefully modernised without losing its charm. A great place to stay.

The Mansewood has an interesting history and back story which our wonderful and friendly hosts, John and Scott were eager to share. The area is beautiful and quiet yet there are many nearby places to explore so it was perfect as our base.We had a fantastic Scottish breakfast each morning prepared and served by our Hosts. The food was wonderful (!) with a wide array of items to pre order the evening before. Our only regret is that we did not have dinner there as you must book in advance so that the owners can get the proper supplies in.We know now that we missed out so if you are reading this, don't miss out! Book dinner with them!All in all a wonderful stay and John and Scott could not have been more accommodating.

Despite the poor weather when I arrived, I was given a very warm welcome. After settling in, I made my way to the small bar, then enjoyed a lovely chat, beside the log burner, with a couple from the Netherlands. This is one of the joys of travel and guest houses!Breakfast in the morning….wow…what a feast! My fruit plate was laden with 10 different fruits which were beautifully cut and arranged artistically. Granola and Greek yoghurt were on the side.This was worthy of a 5* hotel. How I had room for poached eggs and Stornoway black pudding I will never know! Thank you, John and Scott, for your care, commitment and genuine wish to please your guests. I wish you every success in the future!

We had a lovely stay at mansewood, the mood of the place is very relaxing, the rooms are very homely, warm, and comfortable. The two hosts John and Scott are lovely people who can’t do enough for you, breakfast was an absolute joy, we’ll be back!!!

John and Scott were the consummate hosts. We were sad to only have one night at Mansewood as we would have loved to explore more of the area and continued to be their guests. The house is lovely, with its rich history jumping out of the walls. We enjoyed afternoon cocktails before dinner at a nearby Inn (suggested by our hosts) as well as the best traditional English breakfast we had in our two weeks touring the UK. If we ever find ourselves in Scotland again (and I hope we do!) I will definitely return.

What a lovely place to stay. The owners are so welcoming, the room and en-suite bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and there was a wide range of options to choose from, I’m sure if something wasn’t there you fancied the owners would go out their way to cater for you. Fantastic service! They also advised before our stay they offer an evening meal option if pre booked, we declined this offer as had made alternative plans but I’m in no doubt it would have been enjoyable. We had a great stay and would recommend to anyone, only had one issue the shower could do with replacing as not very powerful or the water pressure adjusted then I would give it 5 stars instead of 4.

Even though we were only staying for one night to break a long journey, Scott and John made us feel so welcome and comfortable. They cooked a delicious evening meal just for us and we enjoyed the accompanying banter! We will definitely call again next time we travel into Scotland.Thanks guys!

Owner could not have been more friendly and helpful. Accommodation very comfortable and food good.High quality ingredients at breakfast just compromised a little bycheap sachets of jam and marmalade and machine made coffee rather than a cafetiere.

We loved our two night stay at Mansewood House. we were greeted warmly on arrival and the hospitality from Scott and John was second to none. It is situated close to lovely walks, with gob-smacking views over the Loch. The food cooked by John was delicious, home-made fare and the fruit platter for breakfast, arranged by Scott, was a delight. The hosts were always happy to advise on local walks, attractions and amenities. The house itself is a 300-year old building, with an interesting history in its own right. And we saw our first ever red squirrel in the garden!All in all, we had a lovely stay and will definitely return if we are ever in the area again. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts.

Everything was perfect from the house which was cosy, well decorated and very welcoming, to the room nice and clean, and most of all our hosts who were very nice and so pleasant to discuss with. A fantastic stay, with hearty dinner / breakfast. Plenty of refinement and clearly the owners take an interest in the surroundings and upkeep. They managed to strike the perfect balance in my opinion between being hospitable and discreet. I would not hesitate to reccommend.

We spent one night at Mansewood enroute up to Fort William to climb Ben Nevis and absolutely loved our much toobrief stay. I think it should be compulsory that everyone should spend at least one night here to experience the most perfect hosts possible, Scott and John. So lovely, friendly, so helpful, amazing cooks ( the best roast I’ve ever had ) and the place and it’s location is stunning. Will definitely be back. Thank you Both so much.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted as friends.Very warm welcome.Twin room was really lovely and very clean and the beds were comfortable.Breakfast that was ordered the night before - choice is amazing, was just so delicious and is all freshly prepared not pre-done and put in the fridge every day!Cooked full English breakfast as expected and nothing is ever too much trouble.We only stayed over the one night. Wished it could have been for longer. We would definitely visit again.Please do not miss staying here you will not be disappointed.

The Manswood Country House is everything you expect it to be in Schotland: stunning surroundings, a utterly British interieur (check out the carpet on the floor of the entrance) and above all: a welcoming and warm couple of hosts! Scot and John are making sure everything is at your liking and they do a perfect job (and this is based on my over 20 years of experience in the hospitality busines!). Great choice!

Arrived on a dark, cold and wet evening to a v warm welcome from John and Scott, plus a log burner blazing away in the lounge.Nothing was too much trouble and was made to feel right at home. Food was very good and plentiful too. Will definitely go back.

We stayed for 2 nights, the first of which was when Storm Arwen caused power cuts and travel disruptions in freezing temperatures. Our hosts could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts and our evening meal were both generous and high quality. The small bar served some excellent local whiskies and the Portuguese wine we had with our meal was very good indeed. The en-suite bedrooms were a good size, very clean and comfortable

We found the Mansewood by luck while searching for a last minute bed and breakfast. Stayed here for one night last Thursday on the way down from Skye. Bed comfortable and all areas of the house clean. We had pre-ordered food and this was excellent with generous portion sizes. It’s a lovely house and Scott and John were both attentive and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to others.

We have stayed at the Mansewood a few times over the years and naturally wondered what it would be like under new owners Scott and John.We need not have worried our welcome was extremely warm and genuine, changes have been for the better despite the difficult times we are in. Both meals were great especially breakfast, the fruit plate was something else!!. We will be back.

Our stay at Mansewood was a real treat - our hosts, John and Scott were friendly, attentive and very welcoming from the moment we arrived. It's not often that you stay at a place where you feel the right balance between being independent and being looked after - well John and Scott managed that that really well. They responded to our particular requests openly, with humour and kindly - often throwing in extra touches, along with leaving us to our own devices to explore the local area, making our stay just that little more special. We felt nourished, welcomed and have bags of gratitude for helping to create a a wonderful 5 days in a beautiful part of the world. Well worth every penny!

This was a great experience for us and our 2 daughters aged 5 and 7. We were made to feel very welcome with lovely traditional but very comfortable rooms! John and Scott got the balance just right between giving you space to relax in their home but also in hand and nothing felt like too much bother. The breakfast was literally the best I have ever had! Personal favourite was a fresh fruit platter with delicious granola and yoghurt. Would recommend to all! Beautiful location too. We enjoyed cycling sections of the local disused railway and also a meal at the falls of dochart inn plus kayaking on loch earn

John and Scott were the perfect hosts for our 4 day stay at Mansewood House. We were made to feel comfortable from arrival until departure. They clearly strive to provide individual service to all their customers and this is reflected in the warm atmosphere in the dining room at both breakfast and dinner. The fresh fruit platter and full Scottish breakfast set you up perfectly for any activities you plan to participate in. Whilst the evening meal has a limited choice John and Scott are happy to tailor to your needs. The en suite room was clean, comfortable and well appointed with tea and coffee making facilities. We would definitely recommend staying at Mansewood and look forward to a return visit.

Stayed here for five nights in July in a twin room. I was looked after by Scott and John who make wonderful hosts.The breakfast is superbly done with Scott preparing the fresh fruit platter which consists of a large plate of sliced banana, strawberries, raspberries, grapes, peach, blueberries and other fruit all surrounding a jar of creamy yoghurt. John prepares the cooked breakfast which is cooked perfectly and healthily with quality ingredients. The fruit and the cooked breakfast also get top marks for presentation.I had a wonderful stay. The house is in a quiet location despite the main road which is not busy outside work start and leaving time. It goes really quiet at night. Although the house was full, I didn't hear anything through the walls - this will be because the walls are thick stone. The location was perfect for what I was there for - kayaking, cycling and walking. I shall not hesitate to stay there again.

We stayed at Mansewood for one night. It's a beautiful house about a mile from the tip of Loch Earn. John bought our wine up to our room on arrival, and despite forgetting to confirm dinner, we had a superb bangers and mash and fruit crumble, plus more (excellent) wine. Breakfast was perfect with a full choice. Scott and John are the perfect hosts and we wish them the very best at Mansewood. And yes, we'll stay again, hopefully for longer next time.

From the moment we entered the property to the minute we left, Scot and John were welcoming and amazing hosts. Both made us feel like we were part of the family. The food was lovely, the coffee sublime ‘ a proper cup of Jo’. Breakfast was brilliant - loved the fruit platter and yoghurt and just the right amount of ‘Scottish’ breakfast. We only stayed one night but really wished that we had stayed for our entire trip as the ‘bigger hotel’ that we stayed in near Pitlochry was no match for Scot and John’s lovely home. Thank you both, we are glad we have found you and will be back in a couple of weeks. Excellent value for money. We spent a night here on a bike ride from Rannoch to Glasgow and it was the perfect place to stay.John and Scott were flexible about dinner timing and great with vegan options.They let us safely store bikes in their garage too. Dinner and breakfast were great - good options and generous helpings.The twin room was lovely: clean, fresh and comfortable.Slight issue with weak wifi in bedroom on my phone but otherwise this was a great BnB and I'd love to go back.

What a beautiful house to stay in! Lovely accommodation, beautiful home and a great couple running it who are so very welcoming and friendly. The room we stayed in was large, well furnished in keeping with the age of the house (c300 years),comfy bed and large bathroom. The food is great too - we stayed 5 nights and ate in every night. Sharon is a fabulous cook! Venison pie- superb! As is the lemon cheesecake made by Alan. Mansewood is just s lovely place to stay.

This is a lovely property with great hosts. Breakfast was delicious and host helpful in recommending places to eat. Rooms are comfy and have everything you need supplied. Parking spaces available in the drive of the house. My only minor niggles would be that the roller blind in the bathroom unexpectedly opened and hook didn’t work. The shower is on the small side. Neither would put me off staying there again though.

We enjoyed our stay at Mansewood Country House. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view of the garden and hills beyond - we saw a red squirrel eating from the squirrel food box in the garden. The bed was a bit soft for our taste but we slept well - lovely pillows, duvet and sheets. Breakfast was delicious, the best porridge and excellent black pudding!! Our host was friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay here, it's as it says on the tin - a comfortable country house :)

Location is excellent to walk, cycle or tour by car. We stayed for four nights and found it very comfortable and the breakfasts were most satisfying. The host was exceptionally helpful in guiding us on our walks and places to eat. Well worth a visit.

We stayed here overnight on our way North and had a very comfortable stay. The host gave us a warm welcome and lots of information about the local area. We enjoyed the breakfast and the room was very comfortable. Loch Earn was a short walk away and we sat outside a nice pub by the Loch for a drink in the evening.

This place was a great find. Wanted to get away for few days and it far went beyond our expectations. The beds are the best I’ve ever had at a Guest house/ Hotel. Really great place to stay just out of the village but not too far from anywhere.great wildlife with lovely loch to walk round and a couple of munro's in easy striking distance. We really loved to visit this beautiful and genuine Hotel. The house is nice decorated for best comfort. Allen and his wife take good care of there guests. We booked and came late, but it was no problems. We could have a beer and a gin and tonics in the beautiful saloon in front of the stove (fire). We got a nice sleep and had a personal breakfast in the morning.The bathroom was really nice. Maybe more water when showering. But this lovely place is really recommended and it’s so relaxing and welcoming!Thank you so much for your hospitality!All love from the Swedish couple touring around the countryside in Beautiful Scotland.

I'm so sad we only booked one night at Mansewood on our way north. It had such a cozy feel with the toasty lounge and cushioned couches. Our room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the breakfast delicious. Would love to stay here again.

Wifey and i stayed for one night on Sept 14.in the visitors book,on leaving i wrote absolutely grand!!time to put meat on the bones of that comment.the setting and grounds grand.the welcome,told what you need to know!! grandRooms tasteful and spacious,and CLEAN--grandfood ordered in advance fresh on your plate(evening meals to if you wish,and if you dont want to venture out you can have a wee dram too.you will be happy with your food,and everyone elses looks good too!!!!grandthe tv in room works!!!unlike somany where its just an ornament.grandtheres a twin room downstairs which would be very good for anyone with limited mobility( the shower is good with a special chair for tired legs if you need it-grandall in all,you will have gathered by now it was GRAND i am back for 3 nights next June.This may seem like a pretty glowing review,but its well deserved--I am not family or friends,never set eyes on the place till Sat teatime

After a busy day we had a relaxing night in this beautiful house with a nice atmosphere. A good view to the garden from our room and the dining room. A very friendly host and a good breakfast with very good coffee. We hope that next time we have more time to taste the dinner and explore the region around.

Owners very friendly and informative. I was in a ground floor room with twin beds and this was fine but the bed was a little short although I was offered a double bed room upstairs. Although rooms have tv this does not work as signal is weak.

If you love calm and peaceful nature, that’s probably one of the best places in the loch lomond area! We were treated really kindly, the chamber was even nicer than what we expected and it was all clean and welcoming. It almost felt to be at home! We have also to say that we had a car accident the day we were supposed to arrive and since our rented car was taken away by a tow truck we were able to reach the place only at midnight (when the check-in usually ends at 20:00), but despite our misadventure they welcomed us anyway and tried to help us in any way the day after when we needed to get a new car in Glasgow. Really, we could not expect a better treatment than this. We really recommend this place and if we will be wondering around the lochs again we will surely come back!

A very cozy and typical place to stay! A wonderful shared living room with the fireplace at work and a comfy sofa, a nice shared "games room" with the possibility of tasting good whisky and playing scrabble... the room was nicy and comfortable, even if I have to say that the shower was a bit particular to use...The breakfast was really great, with the possibility of choosing between differentmenues! We arrived quite late, but Alan had stayed up to welcome us, and was so kind and helpful.At breakfast we were given vegetarian haggis as our hosts had noticed we hadn't ordered bacon etc., so surprised us with a "menu extra". So very thoughtful.The room was very clean, and spacious. The bed super comfortable and it was great the bedding was cotton.There were plenty of nice touches in the bathroom too. My wife and I had the pleasure of spending a night here when attending a wedding locally. The Mansewood Country House is a beautifully presented and well kept B&B with ample parking. Inside it is clear that the house is kept spotless and furnished throughout with an eye on quality. The bedroom was spacious with a large en suite toilet/large shower cubicle. The beds (we had a twin room) were very comfortable and the bedding was obviously of a high quality. TV reception was perfect. Coffee and Tea making facilities included. Breakfast room is spotlessly clean and the cooked breakfast was excellent. Cereals and fruit juices were available should you prefer a lighter option.

We received a warm welcome on arrival from Sharon, were shown around the house and then to our room.The guesthouse is spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and our room a good size and cosy. There is an excellent choice at breakfast and it is cooked to perfection.Alan is around at breakfast and he is very good for advice on things to do and where to eat, spot on every time. I had my 14-year old daughter with me the first of two nights and we are both very pleased with our stay! We had a very warm welcome and the entire atmosphere was peaceful and cozy. We had a wonderful one night stay here but wished it could be longer. Lovely welcome and fantastic breakfast. The beds un our room were so comfy we didnt want to get up!

Beautiful house in a lovely spot. Easy to find.Very thoughtful staff provided nice bright spacious ground floor room with walk in shower for my husband who has limited mobility.A chair in the reception area would be a helpful addition.Staff very nice & very helpful.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way up to Glencoe. We found Alan to be a friendly host – we got chatting to him while having a drink at the nice little bar in the B&B. Breakfast and the room were very nice too. Would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly welcome and attractive house and garden.Everything was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed a real log fire with the excellent supper.Sharon's venison pie is to die for.Good breakfast too, and very well located for walking in the Trossachs and lovely Killin.

Wir waren dort Anfang Juni für 2 Tage. Die Zimmer sind gut und groß genug. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren klasse. Den Verkehr von der Straße haben wir nicht gehört. Bis zum Restaurant in Lochearnhead sind es etwa 20 min. zu laufen. Also die Unterkunft ist zu empfehlen.

Fabulous place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation offered everything a travelling tourist would wish for. Therooms are beautifully decorated and immaculate, in keeping with the character of the property with all modern comforts added in. I requested an asthma friendly room and this was met to perfection., the best two nights sleep,I have had in nearly three weeks of travelling. There are plenty of places to sit and relax about the property, indoors and outside. The owners are friendly, charming and flexible and go out of their way to make sure your stay is relaxing and haseverything a weary traveller needs!And the evening supper food was to die for! Beautifully cooked fresh food. And a special thank you to Justine who looked after the three of us so well. :0)I would highly recommend this Guest House to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay and particularly relaxing in the comfy sofas in front of the burner with a beer or two. Just what was needed after walking from Callander!

I stayed for 2 nights in October as a walking base. Everything was excellent. Very comfortable and well furnished room, spotless modern bathroom and shower. A very comfortable residents' lounge with a nice warm fire and large-screen TV. A bar serving drinks as and when required. And excellent home-cooked evening meals and breakfasts. And a very friendly dog! Nothing not to like!

We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every moment of it. The house is big and very well located for exploring the area.Our hosts Alan and Sharon were the best! Lovely breakfast! Alan provides you with all kind of information about the area. And indeed, you can hear a Christmas song in this house any time in a year..

This was our second stay at this guest house and have had a pleasant and comfortable stay on both occasions. Have no hesitation in recommending it.

Although we only stayed one night we do wished we could have had longer to experience more of the delicious home cooking, the friendly and helpful host and the delightful tranquillity of Mansewood House.

My wife and I stopped at Mansewood Guest House for one night and as a part of a tour of Scotland. The guest house is in pleasant garden. Some reviewers have commented that it is close to the main road but I didn't even consider this to be a problem. I did not notice any traffic noise. The proprietors were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The accommodation was of a very good standard and had a homely feel.

We have just stayed at the Mansewood Country House and would reccomened it to friends and family. Everything was very relaxed and friendly from the beginning to leaving. Alan has a lovely front of house manner and his wife Sharon, who made an appearance:) was also lovely. The food was very, very nice too! We would certainly go back again, soon hopefully!?

Friendly and hospitable with a great breakfast. Room furnished to a high standard. Good for cycling - Cycle Route 7 runs very close to the hotel + you can cycle along the Loch. Recommend!

We would like to thank very much Alan for the warm welcome, this was the warmest of our vacation in Scotland! This guest house is a paradise in the campaign, it is romantic and the two ladies in the kitchen were really nice. We were on our way to Isle of Skye, Dunvegan. Alan told us we should stop on our way to the falls of Lochart, very beautiful! And he said we had to see the beach of corailnear Dunvegan, and we did, this is a paradise, thank you very much Alan !

A wonderfully interesting place to stay near Loch Earn. The owners not only make ever effort to make your stay pleasurable, they are a pleasure themselves. Accommodations were clean and attractive, and the food excellent; cooked specifically for your party. I highly recommend a stay if in the area.

A very clean, friendly, welcoming and comfortable establishment and excellent as a base for touring. Plenty of walks from the doorstep. Can thoroughly recommend Mhor84 down the road for evening meals or just drinks and especially the local entertainment on Thursday evenings, not taking anything away from the evening meals at the Mansewood, they were delicious, but just if you fancy a change of scene.

We stayed at Mansewood for two nights, using this as a base for walking and sightseeing. Very comfortable B&B, very convenient. Excellent food and Sharon was an attentive hostess.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at Mansewood and would highly recommend it. The only reason that we have not given five stars is that I try and maintain a common rating and like to leave head room for the unexpectedly superb.

A nice restored cottage style house, great beds, good furnished rooms.Negative points are too early breakfast times (8-8:30) & bad aeration in the bath room.

Sharon and Alan were amazing in every way. Mansewood is one of the best places anyone can stay, from the comfortable rooms to the magnificent home cooked delicious food. It is a must on any trip. Huge big thank you a memorable stay. Will definitely return .

What a lovely place and Sharon & Alan are excellent hosts. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay for our first visit to Scotland. The food is excellent too! Well, as I said in the title, Mansewood Country House is just excellent!! Towser, the resident family dog, has to have a special mention as he's gorgeous. We are already planning a return trip! We got exactly what we were hoping for, a very pleasant and comfortable stay.I have very specific dietary requirements. Sharon and Alan dealt with these admirably, which we greatly appreciated.

This is a warm and welcoming B&B that is more like a small hotel.Mansewood House is a fine old building, which has been sympathetically updated inside; our room was very comfortable and well-equipped, with an excellent modern bathroom.Breakfast was great, and although we weren't able to try the evening meal the menu looked mouth-watering (all home-made from fresh produce) at very fair prices, with wine and bar drinks available too.The building is close to the main road but very effectively soundproofed with almost zero road noise at night.No visitors' dogs allowed, but the resident one is a character!Definitely recommended.

We only stayed for one night at the Mansewood however the experience was a real pleasure. The building is very old so it has an atmosphere about it. Having said that all the facilities are up-to-date and modern. The rooms are well decorated and very clean. The dining area is small so it encourages speaking with your fellow diners (which were only 6 at the most) and unless our host Alan hadn't asked us to move to another room so he could prepare for breakfast, we may have been there a lot longer which, I think, says a lot. You didn't feel as though you were just there for the meal and then you had to leave. By the way, the food was excellent with a great menu. Thanks to our hosts for an excellent stay.

My friends and I stayed at the Mansewood Country House for one night whilst walking the Rob Roy Way. Everything from the welcome, the rooms and the food was excellent. I would not hesitate to return or to recommend to others.

We stayed here only one night, since we were hiking through.We enjoyed our stay, and Alan and Sharon were polite and provided some very helpful tips.We also found the breakfast, as well as dinner options (and the bar) to be very good.We would definitely visit again!

I recently stayed at Mansewood during a hill-walking break in and around the Trossachs. Alan and Sharon kindly laid on several days of perfect weather to accompany their generous hospitality. Comfortable beds, tasty home cooking, stunning scenery - and some accomplished accordian-playing! As well as walks a-plenty, there are lots of brilliant biking roads around, and bikers are made to feel especially welcome. I'll be back, and next time it'll be on two wheels!

It was an epic cycle ride of 125km.Day 1 of my journey to John O'Groats.Arriving rather dispirited I could not have asked for kinder people to welcome me and to offer the encouragement and local guidance to carry onward.Mansewood is a nicely appointed with a cozy room and delightful food.

Made to feels very welcome. Room clean and spacious. Bed very comfortable and I slept very well. Breakfast enjoyable and very filling. Hot chocolate in room. Always nice touch.Two minor issues. I couldn't get shower right for me in room 3. Either right temperature and poor flow or good flow but the couldn't get the right temperature. Also the 8.00-8.30 window for breakfast was a little restrictive.All in all very nice stay and I would return.
